UNIFORM UPDATE
Towards the end of Term 1 2025, Mount Eliza Secondary College will be introducing a new windcheater to add to the uniform collection. These will be available to purchase at DOBSONS, from the end of Term 1 2025.
SCHOOL UNIFORM DONATIONS
We are looking for generous individuals, like you, who can donate new or used school uniforms for year 7-12 to our front administration office. No donation is too small, and every item can help make a significant difference to the students and families here at the College. Thank you once again for your time and consideration. Regards MESC.
NOTEBOOKS CANNOT BE CHARGED AT SCHOOL
As a part of students being ready to learn, students are expected to bring their notebook to school fully charged and ready to use for the day. We are not permitted to have equipment onsite that has not been test and tagged and notebook chargers in classrooms are an Occupational Health and Safety tripping hazard. We appreciate your support in this matter.
SSB FUNDS FOR SCHOOL ACTIVITIES
To use School Savings Bonus funds for school activities, the process is as follows:
Specify the amount to be used against activities in the SSB portal. The portal will then notify the school system of your intentions, please allow up to 48hours for this to occur.
Send an email to kcarter@mesc.vic.edu.au specifying which activity the credit is for and the amount to be used (please keep in mind the due date of the event, there needs to be enough time for the office to make the changes
Compass can then be amended manually by the college to reflect the amount stated, you will then receive an email to notify the update.
Parents can then provide consent on the updated Compass portal.
If you have used the SSB for text and uniform purchases and there is a balance, we suggest you request (via the SSB portal) the balance be allocated over to the school for future school activities (this will automatically happen in July, however if you would like to use it prior, this is easier for you) Once the balance is over at the school, simply email kcarter@mesc.vic.edu.au when an activity comes up so that Compass can be manually updated for you to give consent and/or pay any balance once the SSB has been expended.
CSEF AND EXCURSIONS
If you are eligible for CSEF (current Health Care Card or the like) and have a CSEF credit available on your family statement, please make note of the following:
You receive notification that your student is selected for a sport/excursion/camp via Compass
Print off the consent form and sign to give permission for your child to attend
Write ‘please use CSEF,’ sign and date for the credit to be allocated to the event
Return to the general office before the due date so staff can update Compass with your consent and indicate the use of the credit
