Our Advent Season

Advent is the season that begins the Church year. It is a time of preparation, a time of waiting and longing for the birth of Jesus. 

During Advent we are asked to invite the Lord more deeply into our lives, and embrace the hope, peace, love and joy of this time of the year.  

Preparations for Christmas are usually very practical, like decorating a tree, stringing lights and buying gifts. It is also a perfect time to do things to nurture our spiritual life.

Our school Advent prayer services have been an important part of our prayer life during this time. Students have been asked to reflect upon how they can be waiting, forgiving, joy-filled, loving people. What a beautiful time for us all to focus upon these values both here at school and in our families as we journey towards Christmas.
