EHS Houses

EHS House News!

Since the farewell of the 2023-2024 House Captains at the end of Term 3, the pressure has been on to find the next bunch of incredible humans ready for the challenge!

Big thanks to the team who produced a promotion video to show to the upcoming applicants.

The process of finding students who will represent their House includes the submission of an application, and an endorsement of a staff member. This application requires students to reflect on whether they are willing to take on the responsibility, and seek to be positive role models for their peers. Students need to also reflect on the expectations that come with upholding a leadership role in the school. Once a code of conduct has been signed, they must also be endorsed by a Staff member.

From this, students had the opportunity to express their interests in front of their retrospective Houses during a House Meeting. Some students demonstrated their energy into promotional material, bribery and chants - making it an extremely tight vote amongst many Houses. Staff too, were able to review all candidates and select based upon student’s behaviour and leadership potential both inside and outside the classroom.
