Bonjour tout le monde!

This term has started with students learning/revising the topic of greetings and introduction. Students listened to the unique sounds of French phrases relating to introducing themselves , saying their names, asking someone's name. saying hello and good bye. They also asked each other their age and revised some numbers.

Students will continue to practice with the aim of developing confidence towards mimicing correct intonation and pronunciation of iconic words like: "bonjour, au revoir, merci beaucoup, comment t'appelles-tu, comment allez-vous and ça va bien.

They will also challenge themselves to memorise the conversation with a partner, with the aim of becoming more familiar and fluent with these basic but fundamental words to their linguistic and cultural journey into the world of the French.

Most parents may have memories of these introductory words from their high school days. If not, Google translate can help and Natasha Morgan's song, on Youtube, " Bonjour mes amis " could be a great way of sharing some fun and educational time with your child.
