Dear Parents,
Welcome back to the 2025 school year! We hope you had an amazing holiday and spent time with family and friends, relaxing and enjoying each other's company! We are very much looking forward to seeing our students and hearing about their wonderful holiday escapades. I have already spoken to so many children and it sounds like everyone had a wonderful holiday whether it was at home or at different holiday destinations!
How wonderful it was to see all our parents - old and new - catching up and introducing each other to the new families. We extend a warm welcome to our new Foundation Families and to the McAllen, Soto and Tameirao Martins Da Silva families who are joining us.
Our children came to school on Wednesday looking very refreshed, excited and eager to catch up with each other and reestablish friendships. I have to say a big thank you to our parents - the children have come back looking so proud in their uniforms, they look absolutely amazing!
It was lovely to see our Foundation students come in so settled and ready to start their learning journey.
We are looking forward to continuing our partnership with you all to give our children the opportunity to flourish academically, spiritually and personally.
Any communication regarding your child's academic or wellbeing must be made via your child's classroom teacher. This enables strong relationships between the teacher, child and parent to be built. I am very happy and encourage both parents and staff to cc me into all communications. My email address is - principal@sbmord.catholic.edu.au. This helps us to support each other to ensure a positive outcome can be achieved. If you receive a phone call from the school it is really important to listen to the message left so that when you return the call we can put you through to the staff member who made the call.
Please see the attached specialist timetable for Term 1. Please note that we now have specialists over four days.

Sleepers or small studs are the only acceptable earrings and if your child wants to wear a necklace it can only be a chain with a cross on it.
Due to allergies and Child Safe Standards schools cannot supply or apply sunscreen to students. Please remember to put your preferred sunscreen into your child's bag. Their teachers will give their students time to apply their sunscreen before recess and lunch.
