Grade 5/6

Miss Stephan and Mr Ward, supported by Mr Reid

In the last two weeks, the 5/6s have spent a lot of time completing assessments to show what they have learnt over the past year. We are so impressed by the student’s resilience during this tiring time and are so proud of the results we have seen.

Last week, we completed our Raglan Ride! What a fun and challenging day it was. The 5/6's showed great enthusiasm throughout the whole ride and complained very little about the heat. We were amazed by the support the students gave to each other and to the teachers (who may or may not have fallen off). Thank you to everyone who was involved in this day, you really made it so much easier for us and the students.

Next week, we will be holding our Integrated Studies expo, where the other classes will be able to come and learn about the product or service the 5/6 groups have created, they will be able to vote on the idea they like the most. We can’t wait to see the final products as all of the students have worked so hard to get this completed.

What an incredible year we have had! We would like to thank you all for helping out throughout the year. We hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a safe New Years and we will see you next year!

Class Challenge - The tides have turned! 5/6B have become the Unstoppables, taking out the past 2 challenges. It was very close for the inside game, rock/paper/scissors contest. The challenge started out everyone playing against an opposite class member, coming down to the last 2.

5/6B being victors 2-1 out of 3 games.

Last week outdoors game, soccer was a classic soccer score of 0-1, again 5/6B on the winners list thanks to a powerful strike from Flynn mid game. The last 20mins played out like typical soccer fashion, no one being able to score.
