Photo permissions
Students will be coming home with the new photo permissions form today and early next week which will be replacing the yearly photo permissions given via Compass. This is in line with new requirements by the Department. Please see the attached policy for further information.
Medical Reminder
Student’s medical action plans (Asthma Action Plans, Allergy Action Plans, etc) are to be updated yearly. Please ensure that you provide us with a copy if required.
If any medications are to be given to your child, a new medication authority form will also be required. Please fill out the attached form and bring along with your child’s medication at the beginning of the year.
Nut Aware School
Ceres PS is a nut aware school. We aim to create a safe community by minimising nuts and nut products, as far as reasonable and practicable, in the school.
This will be managed by:
• Parents and caregivers being requested NOT to send food to school that contain nuts. This includes peanut paste, Nutella, peanut butter, all nuts and cooking oil containing peanut oil, as well as foods containing nuts.
• Students being encouraged NOT to share food.
• Students being encouraged to wash hands after eating.
• Parents and caregivers being requested NOT to send boxes that have previously contained nut products, e.g. cereal boxes, muesli bars with nuts, cake boxes, biscuits.

Mobile Phone Policy
In line with the Department's policy on mobile phones, student mobile phones must not be used at CPS during school hours.
Students who choose to bring mobile phones to school must have them turned off and brought to the office for secure storage at the beginning of the day and can collect them at the end of the day.

CSEF Applications
The Camps, Sports & Excursions Fund (CSEF) is available to families with a valid means-tested concession card or temporary foster parents. The allowance can be used towards expenses relating to camps, excursions or sporting activities at school. Please see the attachment for further information:

Conveyance Applications
The conveyance allowance is a contribution towards transport costs and is not intended to cover the full cost of transporting children to and from school.
The conveyance allowance may be available to students attending government or non-government schools and:
- travelling by public transport or by private car, motorbike, bicycle or bus, and
- whose nearest school is not serviced by a free school bus provided under the School Bus Program

2025 Multi Sports & Dance extra curricular programs
This year, Kelly Sports is offering Multi Sports and Dance programs after school on Wednesdays and at lunchtime on Thursdays.

Push Mower
We are looking to dispose of our push mower. If you would be interested in it, it is available for a donation to the school. Please contact the office if interested.
Fresh Meal Fairy Canteen
Every Friday our students have the opportunity to have lunch delivered to school. Orders are to be placed by 9pm Thursday for delivery the next day.
The Friday lunch orders will return next year in Week 2 of Term 1.
