PRAYER
All powerful God,
Your eternal word took flesh on our
earth when the Virgin Mary
placed her life at the service of your plan.
Lift our minds in watchful hope to hear the
voice which announces His glory and open our
minds to receive the spirit who
prepares us for His coming.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
From the Principal
Dear Families,
I begin this newsletter by thanking the dedicated staff of St Philip’s for their ongoing commitment and dedication towards ensuring that every student has optimal learning experiences. I also extend my thanks to Father Dillon for his support and guidance in faith.
We will farewell two of our dedicated LSO team next week. Kayleen will leave us after two years working in the junior classroom. Her support of students and teachers in her time here has always been appreciated. We wish her and her family well for their move interstate. We will also say good-bye to Sophie. Sophie joined us this year as a LSO and has supported each of the grades throughout her time here. Prior to that she worked with many of our students in the before/after school care program. We wish her well in her future career in education.
Thank you to all families for your support that is offered in many ways. Educating children is always in partnership between the home and the school and we value the opportunity in being able to work together with you to support the students in all aspects of their school life.
Thank you to the members of the Parents & Friends for supporting the school in the many ways. Angi H and Clara N, thank you for all you do to keep the tuckshop running so smoothly. The cooking, serving, shopping, and organising parent helpers is very much appreciated by many. Leon M, Justin H and Steve B, thank you for taking care of the mowing roster.
Thank you to the members of the School Advisory Council including, Ashley M, Bernard M, Simone B, Justin H, Anthony N and Armilla C. Your ministry provides a valuable service to our school and I have appreciated working with you again this year.
Thank you to our leaving families. This year we farewell the Brar, DeAlwis, Guest, Jacobs, Lee, Lin and Robertson families. We wish them all well for the future in new educational communities.
Congratulations to the following students who are recipients of the Deakin Shield award and the school award, the Steven Keighery award. We welcomed the federal member for Deakin, Mr Michael Sukkar to our graduation prayer service on Tuesday to present the Deakin Shield award winners.
