Diocesan Swimming Carnival

All the best to our 5 Sacred Heart swimmers representing our school at the Diocesan Swimming Carnival this Friday. They will be given their representative shirts on Thursday to wear to the carnival.  Please remember to bring a shirt to change into before you leave the carnival as Mrs Kate Groves will be collecting the rep shirts on my behalf.

If you’d like to wear a Sacred Heart swim cap these are available for purchase for $8.00 from the office as you’ll be unable to buy these on the day.

MR MAC CUP

Mr Rick McEvoy was a long-standing member of the Armidale Diocese as a teacher, REC and Principal of Sacred Heart Boggabri.

Sadly Rick passed away earlier this term after a battle with Motor Neurone Disease. Rick was a beautiful, kind person and to keep his memory alive at Sacred Heart School we will be naming a sporting competition between Namoi and Cox Sports houses in his honour.

During second half of lunch on a Friday, our Year 6 Leaders  will be organising a variety of sporting activities for Namoi and Cox to go head to head to win the prestigious MR MAC CUP. The winning house will be presented with a trophy in the last week of each term. 

Congratulations to COX on being the winning house for the obstacle course last Friday filling up the first section of the cup!

Mrs Roseby will also be organising structured games of choice for the children for example, cricket and touch football during second half lunch on other days.
