LENTEN SEASON

The following poster is a reminder from Pope Frances about Fasting during Lent.

If you have walked through our front office recently, you may have noticed our Prayer focus and display of the 'Giving Tree' based on the book by Shel Silverstein. 

Children in the K-2 classroom have listened to this story and connected with its moral, exploring the dangers of selfishness. This story shows us what happens when we take and take and do not give in return. 

Over the coming weeks, the display will continue to grow as we explore this remarkable text and its link to the Lenten Season.

PROJECT COMPASSION BOXES

We are particularly encouraged during Lent to give greater attention to those who might be in need. One way we are able to do this as a Catholic Community is by supporting Project Compassion, run by CARITAS Australia, and over the next forty days of Lent, we should be looking to make monetary contributions (big or small) to these boxes that were sent home after the Ash Wednesday Mass.
