Year 10 Work Experience
Opportunity To Explore Career Paths in 2024
Year 10 students have commenced their career journey, with Catherine Freney speaking to the girls last week about the Work Experience program and Morrisby Testing. Our students will have the remarkable opportunity to delve into the professional world through our Work Experience program from Monday 5 to Friday 9 August. This initiative serves as a bridge between classroom learning and real-world application, allowing students to gain invaluable insights into various career paths they're passionate about. Whether it's shadowing professionals in medicine, engineering, journalism, or hospitality, this hands-on experience fosters a deeper understanding of industry demands and expectations. It's a chance for our students to not only explore potential career avenues but also to refine their skill sets and expand their networks.
Students have been given a Work Experience Reply Form to be completed and returned to school to Ms Freney by June 17. Whilst this deadline is some months away, students are encouraged to think about what they might like to do and reach out to make contact with potential organisations as soon as possible. Any student unsure of what they would like to do during the Work Experience program is welcome to speak with either myself or Ms Freney.
Encouraging students to participate in this wonderful opportunity not only broadens their horizons but also empowers them to make informed decisions about their future. Let's embrace this chance for our students to step into the world of work, armed with curiosity, enthusiasm, and a readiness to learn.
