Beacon Leaders

On Friday 16 February, the Echuca Moama Beacon Foundation 2024 school leaders came together to kick off the Real Futures Program for 2024.

The leadership day was held at Echuca TAFE and the Beacon leaders for 2024, from across five schools came together to participate in developing their leaderships skills, learn about the Beacon Program and to get ready to host the Beacon Events for the Year.

The 2024 Beacon Leaders from St Joseph’s College are Georgia Armstrong, Georgia Cooke, Indi Mifsud, Lila Mahoney, Darcy Prime and Mackenzie Sly.  We would like to thank Olivia Batchelor, Beacon Leader 2023 who came along and assisted with the running of the morning events.

One of our Beacon Leaders, Georgia Armstrong, was interviewed about her experiences of the day:

"I've loved just getting to know everybody and breaking the ice and working on leadership and all of the things we do so we can prepare ourselves for the program this year. I put my hand up to be a Beacon Leader as I saw the different community events they ran and the leadersip opportunities, and I thought it would be a really good way to develop my public speaking.”
