Arts Faculty News

We are thrilled to showcase three remarkable exhibitions and performing arts opportunities, that not only celebrate the vibrant talent within our St Joseph’s community but also offer a unique opportunity for our young artists to present and perform!

Masked Singer - St Joseph’s

Inspired by the concept of The Masked Singer Australia, a groundbreaking reality television singing competition on Network 10, Masked Singer St Joseph's invites you to step into a world of mystery and music. This unique event offers you a stage to showcase your singing talent while concealed behind a mask, ensuring your identity remains a secret until the very end. It's a fantastic opportunity to express yourself and your musical prowess without the pressure of being in the spotlight. Whether you're a hidden gem in our community or simply looking for a fun, new challenge, Masked Singer St Joseph's is the perfect platform for you! Embrace the anonymity, let your voice be heard, and maybe even surprise yourself and others with what you can achieve. Join us for an unforgettable musical journey at St Joseph's, where your voice takes the lead in a captivating blend of secrecy, excitement, and entertainment.

Contact Cassie Leopold, Allison O’Brien or Thomas Dicker for more information (but don’t tell anyone - it has to be the best kept secret at St Joe's)!

For three decades, this much-loved annual exhibition has provided a platform for the next generation of artists across the state to showcase their talent, passion and ingenuity. Top Arts 2024 features the most exceptional work from students who completed the new VCE study designs of Art Making and Exhibiting and Art Creative Practice in 2023. The exhibition promises a fascinating survey of the curious, creative and innovative spirit of young artists.

Paul Halton's exceptional commitment as an art student at St Joseph's has led to his artwork and portfolio being chosen for the esteemed Tops Arts exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria.  To give perspective on the enormity of this achievement, For Top Arts 2023, 44 works from 38 students feature – chosen by the exhibition's selection panel who considered submissions from a field of more than 1400 applications.

Please save the date and visit this event in the coming school holidays.
