Notes from the Principal

Parent Partnership Nights (PPN)

Thank you for your attendance of the last three weeks at the PPN's.  It was a pleasure to serve you.  For those people not in attendance I want to share the following;

2024 is a time of connection and working through the goals for our current strategic plan and planning and dreaming into the future.  To this end, I sit in a posture of openness for feedback and hearing the voice of community.  There will be times when we ask for your input through surveys and other means - please take the opportunity to share when the time comes.

As we work together as partners for your child’s education we acknowledge and respect you as the first and primary carers of your children. And as all partnerships go, we call on you to acknowledge respect that the teachers also know your child in a different context. Together we bring the whole child into view, as we support them and each other nurturing a unique individual within our school community and beyond.

Aquaponics

At the end of 2023 the Aquaponics system was shut down with the intention of restarting operations for the start of 2025.  This was not an easy decision, but necessary as the system has some items that need to be repaired for the efficient, smooth, and safe running.

The key focus of the Aquaponics system is to engage students in the learning opportunities across all areas of the curriculum.  While the system is being repaired, we are working on how we can relaunch it so that students from across the school can access the system and learning opportunities associated with it.

While there is a sadness that we are not able to use this space in 2024, we look forward to the future opportunities.  If this is an area of interest to you, I would be keen to hear from you later in the year.

Blessings until we meet again,

Evie
