2024 Instrumental Music Placements
Following Music Information Night on Monday 12 February, we have been overwhelmed by the number of students wanting to enrol to learn an instrument this year. We have squeezed as many students as we can into the places available, and most instruments now have waiting lists.
There are a very small number of places available on the following brass instruments; trumpet, trombone, euphonium. If you’d like to have a look at these instruments and try them out, then Tuesdays or Thursdays are good days to pop into the Performing Arts Centre when our Brass teachers are in.
For students who have been successful in getting a place, it is very important to check your Compass schedules and your school emails regularly so you don’t miss any important information about your lesson time, ensemble rehearsals etc. It is your responsibility to make your way to the PAC when you have your weekly lesson.
Lessons have started this week, and a reminder that beginner band starts on Friday 15 March and Da Capo strings starts on Monday 18 March. These ensembles will also appear on your Compass schedules.
For students who are new to the school and already play instruments, we are progressively working our way through contacting you and inviting you to join a band. If you don’t hear back soon, please feel free to contact Carl Williams, Instrumental Music Coordinator williams.carl@eastdonsc.vic.edu.au

We are inviting you to be a part of our Performing Arts Centre as a Seat Sponsor.
With your gift of $300 (Premium Seat in the front section of the theatre) or $250 (General Seating) each, you can play your part in continuing to upgrade and create a state-of-the-art facility for use by our students, as well as the wider community.
A plaque will be placed on the back of each seat you sponsor.
Commemorate your connection to EDSC in the name of your family, your son, daughter, business or someone else who is special.
