'Write a book in a day' Competition
The "Write a Book in a Day" competition is a fun and creative challenge where teams write and illustrate a children's book in just 12 hours. The competition not only encourages teamwork and creativity but also supports a great cause. Funds raised go to The Kids' Cancer Project, helping to fund research for children's cancer treatments and support families affected by cancer.
Three groups of six students recently participated in the "Write a Book in a Day" competition, working together alongside Ms Beyers to create a complete book in just 12 hours. Given specific parameters, they had to include these elements while using the "Seven Steps of Writing" techniques they learned in class. Along with writing the story, the students designed a book cover, wrote a blurb, crafted a copyright letter, and ensured the story was engaging and well-structured. The students demonstrated impressive writing skills, teamwork, and support for one another throughout this creative challenge.
A big congratulations to the following students who participated in the 'Write a book in a day' competition alongside Ms Beyers.
