SCS Interschool Debating

The SCS Interschool Debating Competition is an annual event that provides our students with an excellent opportunity to develop and showcase their debating skills.

Through this competition, students engage in rigorous intellectual discussions, learn to construct and present persuasive arguments, and improve their public speaking abilities. It’s a fantastic way for them to build confidence, think critically, and collaborate with peers while representing our school. We are proud to see our students participate with enthusiasm and dedication each year, making the competition a memorable experience for everyone involved.

Each year, SCS hosts the Interschool Debating Competition, providing students with the opportunity to enhance their debating skills. This past week, our students participated in the final round, demonstrating that debating is more than just persuasion—it involves logical reasoning, thorough research, and effective communication. The students from STA delivered well-crafted speeches and strong rebuttals, leaving their teachers proud. Throughout the competition, each student improved in their ability to present themselves confidently, speak to an audience, and use their vocabulary to construct solid arguments. We want to thank all the students who dedicated their time to participate in the SCS Interschool Debating Competition.
