Assistant Principal's Message
Parking at Everlearn Preschool
Just a reminder, unless you are a parent collecting a child from Everlearn Preschool you are NOT permitted to park in their carpark. There have been several complaints about parents parking in the preschool carpark that are picking up students from carline.
Teacher Accreditation
The Australian Professional Standards for Teachers form the foundation of the teacher accreditation process in Australia. These standards outline the knowledge, skills, and practices expected of teachers at different stages of their careers. The accreditation process ensures that teachers meet these standards, maintaining the integrity and accountability of the teaching profession.
This semester Ms Beyers is working towards completing her Proficient Teacher Accreditation. We have had some planning days that outlines the whole process, viewing of lessons and linking teacher/student evidence is crucial to the process.

R U Ok? AnyDay - A CONVERSATION CAN CHANGE A LIFE
R U OK? inspire and empower everyone to meaningfully connect with the people around them and start a conversation with those in their world who may be struggling with life.
You don't need to be an expert to reach out - just a good friend and a great listener.
Use these four steps and have a conversation that could change a life:
- Ask R U OK?
- Listen
- Encourage action
- Check in
The annual campaign is a national day of action highlighting the importance of meaningful conversations. This year's event is being held Thursday, 12 September 2024. Students are asked to wear a touch of yellow to mark the event and learn about the importance of meaningful conversations.
Day of the Distinguished Presentations
‘Day of the Distinguished’ is about transformation. Through a long and deep study of the eminent person, the students come to realise both the gifts and the challenges that person encountered in realising those gifts, in moving from potential to success.
Learner ‘transformation’ comes through identification with that distinguished person. We encourage the students to speak in the first person, wear the clothes typical of that person’s life and times. The motivations, aspirations and achievements of that Distinguished person can then serve as a transforming vector for one’s own life. Our Year 2 - 6 students will have time researching and preparing for their presentations of their distinguished figure to showcase their gifts and talents. Kindergarten and Year 1 will have a modified oral presentation to complete and will present to their peers throughout week 9.
Classroom Presentations: Throughout Week 9 - Monday, 16th September to Friday, 20th September
Years 2- 6: Showcase Afternoon: Monday, 23rd September from 2:15-3pm (Parents Welcome)
Blessings,
Marie Iorfino
