Student Wellbeing

SWPBS - At Greenhills we are connected!

As part of our School Wide Positive Behaviour System (SWPBS), at Greenhills Primary School we placed our emphasis on the 3 key principles of being responsible, safe and connected. We wanted to share a little more about each principle in contact starting with being connected. We believe it is at the heart of creating a supportive and inclusive school community where every student feels valued. Being connected goes beyond just forming friendships; it is about fostering a sense of belonging and responsibility towards one another.

We wanted to share our key expectations for being connected in all settings at Greenhills. It is expected that we show these connected expectations inside and outside of our classrooms. At home, we also encourage you to discuss these expectations and what they mean with your child.

We communicate respectfully - This is communication with one another, including the wider Greenhills community. Understanding that kind words and positive interactions help to build strong relationships.

We check in with each other - This ensures that our peers are supported both emotionally and socially. If we see that someone is having some challenges, we seek out adult help to ensure that the student has support.

We wear our school uniform correctly - Wearing our uniform helps to show pride in our school and our school community. Wearing it correctly also means that we look after our uniform, ensuring we do not damage or change the way it looks.

We are inclusive and respect diversity and cultural differences - We are committed to creating an environment where everyone feels welcome, regardless of background or beliefs.

Respect others privacy - We ensure that we maintain trust and create a safe space for everyone to be themselves. This includes ensuring we are cyber safe and respecting others’ digital privacy.  Such as asking permission before taking a photo of someone.

The key principles of we are connected, responsible and safe align with our values and help shape a positive school culture for all.
