Middle School

Grades 3 and 4

Another busy fortnight

Three-Way Interviews

It was great to have the students and their parents meet with the classroom teachers to discuss each students progress. The students were able to share their work, learning and future goals with their parents. A big thankyou for coming along.

While the interviews were taking place the students were having a great day in their pyjamas doing a variety of different wellbeing activities.

Mrs M's class will have their 3 way interviews before the end of term.

Book Week

Wednesday was a fabulous day for the students where they got to dress up as a book character. In grade 3/4 we had a few characters dressing as Wednesday from the Adams family, there was Rabbits from Alice in Wonder Land, Dorothy and the Wicked Witch from the Wizard of Oz, Pippy Long stockings, Bad Guys characters, a cnumber of footballers claining to be Specky Magee, Purcey Jackson and a Giving Tree. The characters the students dressed up as showed the diversity in the books that the students are reading and enjoying at home and at school.

Grade 4's and Project Rocki  t

The Grade 4 students (along with the grade 5/6s) were involved in a presentation from Project Rocket which focuses on anti bullying. The students identified that bullying can take place online, can be words, physical and in relationships Students were given scenariose where they had to identify the type of bullying. They were then given some strategies to help with bullying. Students were encouraged to not copy or join in with bad behaviour, to also not just ignore bad behaviour but to be an upstander and speak up or to speak with actions - such as encouraging someone being bullied to walk away and to walk with them. Project Rocket also encouraged the students to have empathy and to use it as a Super power when helping their friends.
