School Happenings

Book Week in the 5/6 Area

In the 5/6 Learning Area all classes have been reading a great novel by Australian author Craig Silvey called Runt. Listening to Runt is often the highlight of our day. We were all delighted to see Edie from Grade 5 dress up as the main character Annie Shearer with her best friend Runt!

Our annual Book Week Parade was held on Friday and as always our students and families did a fantastic job of dressing up as the book characters. Check out some of the great costumes & characters our grade 5/6 students dressed up as for Book Week.

Special mention goes to our Support Staff, Billy and Kobie who looked fantastic as Carl and Russell from Up!

Assumption of Mary Mass

On Thursday last week, we celebrated The Assumption of Mary with a whole school mass. Our mass was celebrated by Fr. Addin who we warmly welcome to St Mary's Parish as our new Assistant Priest. Welcome Fr Addin!

Italian

Last week the 3-6 students continued their Italian food theme with pizza dough. Thanks for all students for ‘rising’ to the occasion. Bravo Students!

Prep Learning

Last week in preps we learnt about Australian birds.

Our students experimented making their own bird beaks, bird nests and painting with feathers.

Italian Cooking with Nonna Mary

Recently we were very lucky to have Nonna Mary (Mrs D’s mum) come and make pasta sauce with the 3-6 students for Italian. The kids got a great experience making the pasta sauce and getting to take their own jar home! Grazie Nonna Mary! Next on the menu is - pizza dough as Mrs D continues our Italian food theme this term.

Bus Travel in 2025

Shepparton/Mooroopna School bus applications for the 2025 academic year are now open for all year level students requiring travel on a country bus (not town bus).

The Shepparton/Mooroopna School Bus website has developed a new and more efficient process for the School Bus Program bus applications.

Moving forward, parents can easily access and submit bus applications via Microsoft Forms. We believe this will help parents and ensure a smooth transition to the new process.

Simply click on the link below to complete the Bus Travel Application Form.
