Our liturgical dancers at our Assumption Feast Day Mass
We were all very excited with last week's announcement that Elaine Ventriest has been appointed as the new principal of St Mary's. Please see the attached letter that was distributed to families last week.
School refusal is a significant problem for many families and can result in significant issues if it is not dealt with in the early stages. If you suspect your child is showing signs of school refusal such as pretending to be sick or creating problems that are bigger than reality, please contact your classroom teacher for strategies.
Thank you to everyone who was involved in last week's Feast of the Assumption liturgy, especially Fr Addin who celebrated mass for the first time with us!
Well done to everyone on the wonderful Book Week costumes that were on display last Friday. A special mention goes to Edie Lawson who got a message from author Craig Silvey on our Facebook page!
Our Father's Day breakfast is taking place on Friday 30th August from 7:30am. All father's, grandfathers and special father figures are encouraged to come along. Please fill out this attendance form if you plan on being there.
On the weekend Jai and Max Mason went to an AFL promotion at Rebel in Shepparton. Jai won the raffle which was a $500 gift voucher for St Mary's! Great job Jai!
Please note that all students that arrive at school prior to 8:30am must fill out an application via the link below. I appreciate everyone's understanding and cooperation regarding this.
12th August Annabelle Quinlan
Annabelle is an outstanding student in all areas of school life. Her most recent report comment described her in the following words: wonderful, remarkable, exceptional (twice!), outstanding, exemplary and invaluable. Congratulations Annabelle for possessing so many admirable qualities.
19th August Theo Howard
Theo is in outstanding student who is liked fondly by all those who know him. He is actively cooperative and responsible at all times, which sets a great example to other students. Theo has a calming influence to those around him and has an extensive vocabulary. Thanks for being such a great role model Theo!
I had a very happy childhood because my dad used to put me in old tyres and roll me around in the backyard. They were good years!
I'm a bit sad that I my pet parrot that I used to carry around all day died recently, but it's a big weight off my shoulders!
