Year 6 - Room 3
Sanny Chong
Willeton SHS Japanese exchange students.
Last week, Room 3 was thrilled to receive a special visit from Willeton SHS Japanese exchange students. Our year 6 students learned about Japanese culture, language, and food through an engaging presentation. Then they participated in a successful yet challenging origami workshop.
Origami is the Japanese art of paper-folding into decorative shapes. It requires concentration, patience, and resilience. Our students did a fantastic job creating impressive origami figures with the guidance of the Japanese students.
It was such a great collaboration to witness.
The teachers from Japan and all the Japanese students were very impressed with our students' enthusiasm and good manners.
We thank Willeton SHS language department, our EALD team, Mr Chong, and Mrs Jacob. also, a special thank you, to Mrs Sales and our wonderful education assistants for their precious assistance on that day.
