SLAM Competition

Aaron Vinci

On Thursday 1st August,  Burrendah Primary School Year selected 5&6 boys and girls Basketball teams competed in the SLAM competition held at Willetton Basketball Stadium. The teams played extremely well against schools in our district. Every game was played with great sportsmanship and the students displayed a great amount of resilience and perseverance.

Thanks again to the wonderful coaches Sherelle and Matthew Knight who have continually given their time to train and coach the students on game day. A big thank you to the Manager, Josephine Lee who organised the teams up to and on game day.  Thank you to all of the parents for their ongoing support, it is greatly appreciated.

Interschool Cross Country

Aaron Vinci

Congratulations to every student who took part in the Interschool Cross-Country Carnival. I really appreciate your effort on the day as so many students pushed themselves to achieve great results individually and for our school.

A big thank you goes to the children who attended before-school training on Mondays and Running Club on Thursdays in preparation for the carnival. Their dedication and devotion paid off for many. Thank you to the parents who were able to get them to school earlier on those days.

On the day, a big thanks to parents for coming to support your kids and offer your help to Burrendah, it was a great atmosphere and appreciated. Willetton Primary School did a great job organising the event with a smooth-running schedule making it a fantastic day.

The results;

Rostrata, was in first place with 471 points, followed closely by Willetton in second place with 430 points, West Leeming in third place with 397 points, and Burrendah in fourth place with 382 points.
