Beach Volleyball Excursion
On Tuesday 13th August our Year 7 students participated in a round-robin beach volleyball tournament at Westgate Indoor Sports in Altona. The students demonstrated their volleyball skills, serving, spiking, setting and digging, along with personal and interpersonal skills of teamwork and leadership.
Students played in house teams with the winners from each excursion group being 7 Grillers and The Alpha Pack. These teams played of in a Grand Final back at school on Tuesday 20th August. The Alpha Pack were crowned the champions after a hard fought match.
My experience during the volleyball excursion was as expected. It was a fun experience as I got to spend 3 hours playing one of my favourite sports. My Team, 7 Gorillas, won the grand final and now we get to verse the other winning team. There was a lot of teamwork but overall, the experience was great.

On Tuesday we went on the bus to the beach volleyball centre in Altona. The beach volleyball was fun. We played 5 games against different teams, but we didn’t get to verse every team. My team was the Alpha Pack and we made it to the grand final against Team Jayoma. It was great having other teams cheer us on, which helped us to win. Back at school we got to play against the winners of the afternoon session, and we won that as well. Go Alpha Pack!

The volleyball excursion was a total blast! The energy was high when we hit the sand and the laughs kept coming. Whether we were pulling off cool spikes or just having a good time, the vibes were great all around. The 7 Grillers won the PM session and we all left with big smiles and can’t wait to do it again!
