Author Visit - Anna Ciddor

On Monday the grade 3s went to BASC to meet Anna Ciddor! Everyone was very excited.

When we arrived she told everyone to be quiet and then she introduced herself to us. Then she did some fortune-telling. Sadly, I didn’t get picked but I was quite interested in what other people got.

After that, she showed us some other books she had written (we were reading Fifty-Two Mondays.) Then she showed us some photos of her childhood and real-life stuff.

She also told us some facts about her stories and how she only writes chapter books now. One of the most interesting facts is that she knows Andy Griffiths and many other authors.

Yesterday was one of the best days ever! I hope I can attend many other author visits.

Monday was a very exciting day because Anna Ciddor visited the Grade 3s.

It was really quite fascinating learning about her life. One of my favourite parts was learning about her childhood. Everyone loved it!

Next, she told us she made 60 books - that's a great achievement! She also told us a bit about her new book that is coming out in 2025, Moon . 

Her kids inspired her to be an author because she wrote books for her kids. She also has two sisters named Bubby and Mirabelle.

I loved learning about her life and I'm sure everyone else did.
