Selecting A New Unit 3 & 4 Subject
Students who are wanting to select a new Unit 3 & 4 subject without having completed Unit 1 & 2 of that study, are required to complete the below form.
The purpose of the form is to indicate a student’s interest in selecting the subject, as well as ensure they are informed in making their decision.
The form requires students to identify the reason they are looking to change, as well as have a conversation with a teacher of the proposed subject, to gain further information on the study design, assessment, and prior knowledge expectations. The teacher will also advise what work is expected to be caught up on, given the student hasn’t completed Unit 1 & 2.
Once the student has spoken with the relevant teacher, they will need to gain the support of their Year Level Coordinator, as well as the careers coordinator and a parent/guardian.
Please note, the following subjects cannot be selected without having completed Units 1 & 2:
- Chemistry
- Literature
- Physical Education
- Physics
- Specialist Maths
