Principal's Report

Dear HPS Community,

Today our Foundation to Year 2 students enjoyed a fantastic Sports Day in truly beautiful weather. Students took part in a variety of much-loved events, including the egg-and-spoon race, three-legged race, sack race, sprints and long-distance running. It was a fabulous event, and wonderful to see such enthusiasm and team spirit shining through in every activity.

Thank you to Ethan Griffith for  his preparation and organisation, and to our Year 6 students, who led the activities with confidence and provided exceptional support to our younger participants throughout the day.

We were also delighted to see so many family members cheering from the sidelines. Your encouragement helped make the day even more special for our students.

Staffing

After a long and lustrous career at Heidelberg PS, Rochelle Pennefather, who has been on leave this year, is spreading her wings and moving into a new job with a role in the Disability Inclusion sector.

Rochelle has been a highly respected teacher and learning specialist at our school and has been a driving force behind our Positive Climate for Learning.

Rochelle, thank you for everything you have given to Heidelberg Primary School—for your leadership, your kindness, your expertise, and your heart.

HPS staff will acknowledge and thank Rochelle on behalf of the whole school community when she comes in to visit on Monday.
