Year 1 Update

Our Learning for Weeks 7 & 8
| English | We are learning to recognise and decode the alternative grapheme for /n/ - kn as in knock and /n/ - gn as in gnome. |
| Maths | We are learning to make two-digit and three-digit numbers using hands on materials and rename numbers into different configurations eg. 24 = 1 ten and 14 ones. |
| Inquiry | We are investigating different types of meats and proteins and where they come from. |
| SEL | We are learning to describe some of the ways people can differ from one another. |
News and Reminders:
- Wednesday 26th November - Curriculum Day. No students required at school.
- Thursday 4th December - Year 1 Big Goose Excursion - Please ensure you have given consent and paid via Compass. If you have any questions, please speak with your child's teacher.
- Monday 8th December - End of Year Extravaganza 4:00pm - 5:15pm on the synthetic oval near the amphitheatre. The event will include Christmas song performances by classes, staff and Year 6 student farewells and our annual Christmas raffle.
