What's happening in Prep?

Our Prep students have been busy developing their number fluency through fun, hands-on learning! We have been exploring number bonds to 10, using a range of strategies to show how numbers can be combined in different ways.

Students have also been strengthening their understanding of place value, with a focus on tens and ones. Using engaging materials such as bundles of pop sticks, MAB blocks, and ten frames, our Preps have been representing numbers in meaningful and concrete ways.

One of the highlights has been our Number Bonds song- a class favourite! The children can’t wait to perform it for families during Open Morning.
