Numeracy Week Dress Up Day

On Monday 17th November, students are invited to wear free dress – with a twist! Their top (t-shirt/jumper/windcheater) must be a clearly identifiable, single colour (something you can look at and say, “That’s red/blue/brown,” etc.). Multi-coloured or rainbow tie-dye tops are not suitable. Other than this coloured top, students may wear appropriate free dress.

Interrelate Program

Our students have now completed their three Inter-relate sessions. They engaged respectfully and enthusiastically throughout, and we are very proud of the thoughtful way they approached their learning. We encourage families to continue these conversations at home to build on the work happening in class. Students will be bringing home their work booklets in the coming week, so please feel free to look through these with your child.

Helping Hands for the 2026 Foundation Students

Our Year 5 students have continued to support the 2026 Foundation Transition mornings. 5KY, who had been eagerly awaiting their turn, have now excitedly welcomed VPS’s newest additions. These mornings are a highlight for both our Year 5 helpers and the 2026 Foundation students, who this week enjoyed their first taste of a P.E. lesson. Huge well done to the students from 5KY for their enthusiasm, encouragement and responsible attitudes!

Mario Kart Maths

Our Year Five students have begun one of our favourite Maths units. Each student has had the chance to race around a Mario Kart track and record their lap times. Over the next couple of weeks, they will be comparing and analysing this lap data against the times of other students in the class and across the year level, using real-life contexts to build their understanding of data and statistics.

Vermont Views School Magazine

The Vermont Views magazine is now available for purchase for $15. This is a great keepsake of 'the year that was' and a fun way to track your child's journey through their school years. The magazine has every 2025 class included, special items from the specialist subjects, and a reflection from the student leaders and the Principals.

Orders can now be placed through the Compass Parent Portal, under the Shop Menu. To access the Shop Menu from the app, click the ‘More’ button at bottom right of screen. Then click on the 'Shop' tile.

If you would like to purchase a copy, you will need to order before midday on Friday 5th December 2025.  Magazines will be sent home with your student in the final week of term.

From Monday 17th November until Wednesday 3rd December, we’ll be collecting non-perishable food items to donate to families in need during the Christmas season.

This initiative is proudly put together by our Student Council Representatives, who will be helping collect and repack donations ready to send to families who need a little extra support this Christmas. Even a single item can make a big difference to someone’s holiday season!
