Year 4
James Sadler (Team Leader), Eli Dahlenburg, Alistair Straughan, Vivian Nguyen
We are past the middle of Term 4 this week, and we are saying farewell to Mr Sadler for the year, who is off on a much anticipated family holiday. Mrs Court will be stepping in to continue with the smooth running of 4JS.
Next week is Numeracy Week, and in order to collect some data for some incredible Maths lessons, students are invited to wear a different coloured top on Monday. The more variation in colours, the better! Grade 4 students will also be taking part in a Maths incursion at school next Friday.
Those of you with eagle eyes (or eager eyes!) may have noticed our end of year excursion details are now on Compass. We are heading to the SeaLife Aquarium in the city on Friday December 12. Please ensure you have paid and given permission to ensure your child doesn't miss this fun way to end our study on the Great Barrier Reef.
The students are well into their Great Barrier Reef projects, which will be presented at school on Tuesday December 9. Some students may need some supplies from home for their 3D models. We look forward to them presenting their learning.

Orders can now be placed through the Compass Parent Portal, under the Shop Menu. To access the Shop Menu from the app, click the ‘More’ button at bottom right of screen. Then click on the 'Shop' tile.

FOOD FOR FAMILIES FUNDRAISER

We’re excited to announce that our school will be supporting the Food for Families fundraiser this year!
From Monday 17th November until Wednesday 3rd December, we’ll be collecting non-perishable food items to donate to families in need during the Christmas season.
There will be three collection points around the school — at the Office, Library, and Learning Centre. On the night of our Christmas Market and Carols, families are also welcome to bring donations to the collection point at the event.
This initiative is proudly put together by our Student Council Representatives, who will be helping collect and repack donations ready to send to families who need a little extra support this Christmas. Even a single item can make a big difference to someone’s holiday season!
Unfortunately, we will be unable to accept:
Thank you for helping us spread kindness and generosity throughout our community this Christmas!
