Student Services Update – Term 4 Highlights

Term 4 has been a memorable one for our Student Services team, with several key events celebrating the achievements and spirit of our students.

Year 12 Farewell

On Tuesday, 21st October, we proudly hosted the Year 12 Final Assembly, marking the end of our senior students’ journey at Applecross SHS. The assembly featured the announcement of Subject Award Winners, recognition of students who exemplify our School Values, and the traditional Year 7 Guard of Honour, which added a heartfelt touch to the farewell.

Following the assembly, students enjoyed shirt signing with peers and staff—a fun and meaningful tradition. The celebrations continued into the evening with the Year 12 Dinner Dance held at Coast, Port Beach, where students gathered to reflect, celebrate, and create lasting memories.

🏀 Core Group Basketball Challenge

Core Groups across all year levels have been earning House Points through a basketball shooting competition. The challenge has brought out great energy and friendly rivalry. We’ll be announcing the winning house in the coming weeks!

🚢 Year 9 River Cruise – Wednesday, 29th October

To celebrate the end of their Red Shirt Era, our Year 9 students set sail on a River Cruise, a fun and symbolic farewell to their junior years. As they prepare to enter Year 10 and don their White Shirts, this event marked a joyful transition and a chance to celebrate their growth and achievements.
