Principal's Message

As we move into the second half of Term 4, I would like to take a moment to acknowledge the energy, dedication, and care that our students and staff continue to bring to Applecross Senior High School. This time of year is always full of momentum—final assessments, celebrations of achievement, and preparations for the future—and it’s heartening to see our school community embracing it all with such positivity.

Last week, we proudly farewelled our Year 12 students at their final assembly. It was a special moment to reflect on their journey and the contributions they’ve made to our school. We wish our ATAR students every success in their final exams and look forward to reconnecting with the entire Year 12 cohort at our Presentation Ceremony in November—a chance to celebrate their achievements and mark the beginning of their next chapter.

Looking ahead, planning for 2026 is well underway, including the development of our new School Business Plan for 2026–2028. This plan will shape our strategic direction over the next three years, with a strong focus on student achievement, wellbeing, staff development, and community partnerships. Staff and our School Board are actively contributing to this process, ensuring our goals reflect the needs and aspirations of our school community.

We’re also progressing with infrastructure upgrade conversations aligned with these strategic priorities. Please find a message from our School Board Chair within this update, highlighting the Board’s commitment to advocating for facilities that support high-quality teaching and learning.

Finally, if you have any concerns, questions, or feedback, please don’t hesitate to contact the school directly. We deeply value open, respectful communication and are committed to working in partnership with families to support the wellbeing and success of every student. Your voice matters, and together we continue to build a strong, inclusive, and future-focused school community.
