From the Principal

Dear Families,
What a fantastic week it has been in sport! For those who haven’t heard the news, our Year 6 Boys Cricket Team brought home a well-deserved win, and Harry Fitzpatrick achieved a personal best time in the state athletics, finishing 16th overall. What a terrific effort - please join me in congratulating all involved!
EXCURSIONS AND EVENTS
- Foundation Excursion – Our Foundation students had a great excursion to see Pevan and Sarah this morning. It was a fun and engaging experience for our youngest learners.
- Remembrance Day – Our Year 6 students will represent St Liborius at the Remembrance Day service in Eaglehawk tomorrow morning. This is a meaningful opportunity for them to reflect on the significance of the day and show respect on behalf of our school community. The remainder of our school community will be observing a minute of silence at 11am.
SUNSMART UPDATE
As a SunSmart school we will continue to ensure that all students are applying sunscreen and wearing their hats correctly during outdoor activities. Students can access sunscreen before any break time. Your reminders to your own children in this area is greatly appreciated.
To further strengthen our SunSmart practices, we’re excited to announce a new style of school hat. The updated design will feature a higher SPF rating and a broader rim, while still being soft and packable. Our current hats will remain acceptable, but you’ll start to see the new ones circulating soon.
ASSEMBLY REMINDER
A reminder that our whole-school assembly will be held at 2:30pm on Friday 14th November. We look forward to seeing many of you there to celebrate our students’ achievements.
FOUNDATION TRANSITION 2026
We are delighted to continue welcoming our Foundation 2026 students onsite for their transition sessions. These visits are a wonderful opportunity for our future learners to become familiar with the school environment, meet their teachers, and begin building friendships. It’s always a joy to see their excitement and curiosity as they take their first steps into the St Liborius community.
With many blessings,
Alannah Darmody
