Book Week 2025
Book Week Celebrations at SKiPPS
Thank you to our entire community for bringing so much joy to this year’s Book Week Dress Up Parade. It is always such a proud moment to see our students take the lead on days like this.
A special congratulations to our Year 6 leaders - Max, Alec, Poppy, Archie, Iniko and Bea, who volunteered to take charge of Book Week. They kicked things off by creating colourful posters to display around the school, visited every classrooms to answer questions about the parade, and most impressively, ran and led the whole assembly. What a wonderful example of leadership and teamwork!
We also extend our thanks to parents and carers for helping with costumes - the creativity and effort were amazing. The photos say it all, with smiles as big as the books we celebrated!
This week marks the final stage of our Book Week festivities, and we are thrilled to be welcoming back
Meerkat Productions to SKiPPS. They will bring two of this year’s shortlisted books to life on stage:
- Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2: The Garden of Broken Things by Freya Blackwood – 9.30am
- Year 3 and Year 4: Small Acts by Kate Gordon & Kate Foster – 11.25am
- Year 5 and Year 6: Small Acts – 2.00pm
We can’t wait to wrap up Book Week with these exciting performances!
SKiPPS & Readings
A reminder to all that if you are purchasing any new books, please support our local Readings store. If you mention that you are a part of the St Kilda Park Primary School Community, they will put a % of your spend aside for our school to use.
