It’s been another busy week here in boarding!
College Ball
Last weekend we had the College Ball, and everyone who attended looked amazing. Students were busy on the dance floor and making the most of every photo opportunity throughout the evening.
We welcomed 202 guests who arrived in style — everything from cars and trucks, even a crane.
A huge congratulations to our Belle and Beau of the Ball:
Pypah Atkinson and Hamish Omodei .
Special awards went to:
Bromance – Sean Smith, Fergus Watson and Beau Smith.
Sisterhood – Tara-Rae Strand and Ruby Vale.
Cutest Couple – Kaitlyn Ellis and Ryan Evans.
Best Dancer – Alex Keating.
Best Entrance – Emma Usher (arriving in a crane!).
Staff Member of the night - Bill Jones.
Professional photos will be available soon, but here is a little sneak peak of ours.
Photobooth Pics
A massive shout-out to Mrs Fimmano and Mrs Hickman, who once again had the ballroom looking spectacular, as always. Thank you also to the staff who attended and assisted in making the evening such a success.
We WON!!!
On Tuesday night, the girls won their Netball Grand Final by a nail-biting single goal.
Picture this: with just 8.6 seconds to go, the ball was thrown in from the other end of the court. In four passes, it was in the hands of Kaitlyn Ellis inside the goal circle. Kaitlyn took the shot, but a penalty was called against the GK. She lined up again—then the siren sounded. Another penalty was called, this time against the GD. Kaitlyn had a clear shot, and she made it count!
The girls won by one goal, and the team, Sparky, and the crowd went wild. Celebrations all around—well done girls!
Dowerin/Muresk
On Monday, a group of students headed off to Muresk, visiting several businesses on Monday and Tuesday before attending the Dowerin Field Days. They returned tired but full of great experiences and memories.
Illnesses Around the College
This week we’ve also been hit hard with illness, so this is a timely reminder for everyone to take care with personal hygiene by washing hands regularly and covering mouths when coughing or sneezing. The better we are with these small habits, the fewer people will be affected.
Skipper's Ticket
Looking ahead, this weekend marks the first of the Skipper’s Ticket practical in Mandurah. We have students sitting the test on both Saturday and Sunday. The weather's looking good, so good luck everyone.
