Wear It Purple Day !
Wear It Purple Day – Tuesday 2nd September 2025
During Break 2 under the COLA outside the Library, JJ students are encouraged celebrate Wear It Purple Day, a special event promoting inclusivity, diversity, and support for LGBTQ+ youth. Our staff are encouraged to show their support by wearing purple to work, and students can express themselves through fun activities without impacting class time.
Activities include:
- Face Painting: Enjoy creative designs like rainbow colours, purple equal signs, love hearts, and more, all symbolising inclusivity.
- Nail Painting: Get your nails painted by student volunteers, with a variety of colours including the iconic purple.
DJ Music: Groove to tunes spun by our very own DJ Ms Fitzgerald in the courtyard.
All Students are still required to wear full school uniform to school.
Year 8 Sports Gala Day
Our Year 8 students will take part in the Sydney Eastern Suburbs Zone Schools Gala Day, competing in a range of sports in a friendly and exciting environment.
This event offers a great opportunity for students to showcase their skills, engage in healthy competition, and build school spirit.

Bayside Spring Fair !
Join Us at the Bayside Spring Fair!
We are excited to announce that JJ Cahill will be participating in the Bayside Spring Fair with a promotional stall showcasing our school spirit and community involvement. Be sure to catch our special performance at 12:10pm — a wonderful opportunity to see our talented students in action!
In addition to plenty of food stalls, there will be dance performances, live music, free amusement rides, and an outdoor movie screening.

Year 11 Preliminary Exams
Monday, 15th September to Tuesday, 23rd September 2025
Preliminary Exams will be held for senior students during this period. Please ensure students are well-prepared and aware of their exam schedule.
Year 7 Vaccination - HPV & dTpa
Tuesday, 23rd September 2025 - School Library
Year 7 students will receive their HPV (Human Papillomavirus) and dTpa (diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis) vaccinations on this day as part of the school immunisation program.
Additional Information: More detailed information, including consent forms and instructions, will be sent home to families closer to the vaccination date. We encourage parents and guardians to review the information carefully and return any required documentation promptly.
