Student Learning

Foundation

CPS Foundation celebrated 100 days at school on Tuesday 29th July. There were lots of fun activities, laughter and general fun.

This term students are studying a unit on poetry. They are having fun using rhyming words and rhythm. They are very proud of their work.

So much fun was had on the community reading walk on Tuesday 19th August. The preps went on a bear hunt through the Community Garden and were read to at Killara House and the Library. Thank you to all the organisers and volunteers who made this such a great day!

Year 1/2

Cobram Community Reading Day - On Tuesday, the students had a wonderful opportunity to go out into the community and share picture story books with members of the community.

Writing - The students have now completed their poetry unit and have compiled a book showcasing their wonderful work. It includes acrostic poems, shape poems, and pieces that explore alliteration.

Math - There was plenty of enthusiasm as we enjoyed learning about money. The students took on the challenge of creating a shopping list for dinner and calculating the total cost.

PE - While making the most of the outdoors, the students had fun learning how to throw and catch a frisbee.

Year 3/4

Students have produced some amazing poetry and they are very proud of their work.

Year 3/4 students have had a focus on close reading, and have been working in small groups.

Math time! Students are working hard on Time, including converting and time lapses.

This week we celebrated all the fantastic camp stars!! Whilst we could’ve given an award to all 3/4 students, these students went above and beyond in respect, responsibility, organisation and courage.
