Youth Community Service Award 2025
We are thrilled to announce Year 11 Student Maggie as the recipient of the Youth Community Service Award 2025 from The Order of Australia Association (NSW Branch)! Maggie took on the challenge of running a marathon, not just for herself, but to raise vital funds and awareness for mental health. She raised almost $6,000.00 for Speak and Share, providing that one person's vision can have a massive impact.
Congratulations, Maggie, you're an inspiration to us all!
A huge congratulations to Year 11 student Maggie, our Youth Community Service Award 2025 recipient! Last year, Maggie ran an incredible marathon to raise nearly $6,000 for mental health organization Speak and Share. Her dedication and selflessness are a true inspiration to our community!
The Southern Sports Academy is pleased to announce that nominations are now open for our 2026 sporting programs. We are especially excited to announce that Skateboarding is being offered for the first time in 2026, providing a new pathway for athletes in this emerging sport.
Sports now open include:
- Basketball
- Future Stars
- Golf
- Hockey
- Rugby
- Skateboarding
We invite your students to apply for selection in their chosen sport. We are seeking talented and enthusiastic athletes to participate in our programs. Full details, including program information and nomination forms, are available on our website:

BISSA Athletics Carnival 2025
On Thursday, 31ˢᵗ of July, 60 students from KCC headed to Albury to compete in the BISSA Athletics Carnival. KCC students showcased exceptional athletic talent and commendable sportsmanship. The day was marked by outstanding performances, with many of our athletes achieving great success across various events.
Beyond the strong results, KCC students were praised for their exemplary behaviour, demonstrating a high level of sportsmanship and respect throughout the competition.
A highlight of the carnival was the incredible achievement of two of our students, breaking previous carnival records.
John Turnbull broke the 13-year 800m and 400m run records, while Ethan Hilton broke the 14-year boys high jump record. A big congratulations to these students.
