You Matter: Taking Care of Our Wellbeing at School
At Bittern Primary School, we believe that every child’s wellbeing is just as important as their learning. Feeling happy, safe, and supported helps us all to do our best, make good choices, and enjoy every day at school!
Here are some small but powerful ways we can take care of ourselves and each other:
Be Kind to Yourself and Others
A kind word, a smile, or a helping hand can make someone’s day brighter—including your own! When we treat others with kindness, we build a stronger, happier school community.
Talk About Your Feelings
It’s okay to feel sad, worried, or upset sometimes. Talking to a teacher, a friend, or someone at home can really help. Remember: you’re never alone.
Keep Moving and Stay Active
Running, jumping, dancing, or even just walking around at break time keeps our bodies and brains healthy. Exercise helps us feel more focused and cheerful.
Take Time to Rest and Breathe
Sometimes, all we need is a quiet moment. Taking deep breaths, listening to music, or reading a book can help us feel calm and ready to learn again.
Celebrate What Makes You YOU
Everyone is special in their own way. Celebrate your talents, your kindness, your creativity—because you matter, and the world is better with you in it.
