Book Week - dress up day

Book Week Adventure: A Colourful Celebration of Imagination!

What a fantastic day we had for Book Week today! The theme, "Book Into an Adventure," brought out the creativity and imagination of all our students. It was so much fun to see the array of costumes, from villains to superhero's  with each child bringing their favourite characters to life.

It was great to see our whole school enjoying our book week parade. The level of creativity was truly inspiring—thank you to all the parents for their hard work in helping bring these characters to life.  Your support and attendance at the parade made the day even more special. Thank you to Mr. E (aka Batman) for being 'Master of the microphone'

Keep the adventure alive, and keep reading! 📚✨

House Athletics Day

On Thursday last week,  there was much   excitement and energy as students gathered for the much-anticipated House Athletics Day. With an atmosphere buzzing with enthusiasm, this event gave students the chance to showcase their athletic abilities while representing their houses in a range of exciting competitions.

School Spirit in Full Force

The heart of the day was not just about winning but also about the values of teamwork and cooperation. Students wore their house colours with pride, and the air was filled with chants and cheers for all students. It was inspiring to see everyone, whether competing in an event or supporting from the sidelines.

A huge shout out to Mr. E for expertly organising this event.  Thank you to our parents who assisted with setting up,  transporting equipment and helping out.

Good luck to our students who will be representing our school in the District athletics next week.

Art on Display at August Art Attack!

I am incredibly proud of our talented students who have entered their work in this year’s August Art Attack

Each piece is a testament to the hard work, effort, and creativity our students have poured into their art this term. It’s been a joy to see their ideas come to life and shared with the wider school community.

A huge thank you to Mrs Roberts for organising this wonderful opportunity. For more information please refer to the specialist news section in this newsletter.

Ensuring Student Safety: Late Arrivals and the Importance on Signing In.

At Bittern PS, the safety and well-being of our students is our top priority. We understand that, from time to time, students may arrive late to school due to unforeseen circumstances. However, it is important to remember that when a student arrives after school has started, we need to know that they have arrived safely at school.

For security reasons, all late students must be signed in at the school office. This process ensures that we are aware of who is on site at all times and that we can account for every child in case of an emergency.

What Parents/Carers Need to Do:

  • Arriving Late: If your child arrives after 9am., please ensure they come directly to the office.
  • Signing In: Parents or carers must accompany the student to the office and sign them in on the late arrival register.
  • Providing a Reason: When signing in, kindly provide a reason for the late arrival, so we can ensure accurate attendance records.
  • Avoid Unsupervised Drop-offs: Please do not drop your child off at the school gates if they are running late. This could lead to confusion about their whereabouts and pose potential safety risks.

By following these procedures, we can maintain a secure environment for all students and ensure that no child is unaccounted for. We appreciate your cooperation in making school arrival times smooth, safe, and organized.

Thank you for helping us prioritize safety!
