Dear Parents, 

We have had a fantastic start to the term and look forward to a term full of learning and fun experiences!

What have we been up to in the classroom?

Maths

In Maths we have started our unit on Multiplication, looking at the link between skip counting and times tables and learning how we can use our times tables to help us multiply.

Inquiry

We have started our unit ‘The best designs come from many minds’ where we will be learning to work together as a team as we design and create some innovative projects! Our Billy Cart incursion this week will link to this unit as we work collaboratively as a team to create a vehicle.

Writing

We have started our unit on Autobiographies and the students are doing a fantastic job using the information sheet they completed at home to write their own autobiography!

Homework

This week your child will be bringing home a Homework sheet ‘Playing a game with my family or friends’. It is a reflection activity to be filled out after they play a game (structured or unstructured) with family or friends. These sheets are due back at school from week 6, where your child will present their report during Show and Tell time. Your classroom teacher will email the Show and Tell roster to you this week. 

Winter Illness Reminder

Term 3 is often the cold and flu season with coughs and colds moving through the year level. Please keep your children at home if they are feeling unwell to prevent the spread as much as possible.
