PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Mrs Claire Ryan

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome to Week 3's Newsletter!

We hope all of the amazing women in our Sacred Heart Community had a wonderful Mother's Day on Sunday.  Witnessing such a positive sense of community last Friday at our Mother's Day High Tea and Pamper session was lovely. We welcomed our mothers and grandmothers into our school and mother figures from our broader parish community. Thank you to everyone who came along to spend some quality time together, be pampered, and enjoy a cuppa with some sweet treats at the High Tea.

Our recent Year 6 fundraiser was the Mother's Day Raffle. The students raised approximately $500 . What a wonderful effort! Thank you to everyone who purchased raffle tickets; we really appreciate your support. Congratulations to our winners...

This year, we approached our Mother's Day gifts a little differently. Instead of running the traditional Mother's Day Gift Stall, the children were able to design and create their own Mother's Day gifts. It was the perfect opportunity for us to use the Cricut Machine, Heat Press and Mug Press that the 2024 Year 6 students donated to the school. The students and staff were quite impressed with the final products, and we hope our mothers love their gifts that were made with love.

Here are some of our personalised gifts...

Welcome to our new family at Sacred Heart School

We welcome Amaya Sreejith and her parents Sarangy and Sreejith to our school. Amaya has started here at Sacred Heart in Year 1. Please join us in welcoming this family to our school community.

Winter Uniform

Whilst we are still experiencing some pleasant and mild autumn weather, all students are required to transition to their full winter uniform by next Friday. The whole school will be required to fully transition to winter uniform on Monday, 26th May, ready to represent the school at the Gunnedah Eisteddfod. If you need any uniform items, please come in and visit our uniform shop, as we have a great selection of new and donated uniforms for both boys and girls.  Please note that the tie is a compulsory item of the winter uniform for both males and females.

Wishing everyone a productive and rewarding Week 3!

Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions or concerns.

Warm regards,

Claire Ryan
