🎨 Year 8 Art Attack! Presents: Cubist Portraits 🎨

This vibrant collection of Cubist-inspired artworks was created by our talented Year 8 Art Attack! classes as part of their study into the revolutionary ideas of Pablo Picasso and the Cubist movement. Over 4–5 weeks, students explored key artistic concepts such as Papier Collé, figure and ground, multi-angle portraits, and the use of shape and texture.

As part of their learning journey, students researched Picasso’s portrait style, developed unique compositions through annotated trials, and applied their knowledge in the creation of expressive, collage-based portraits.

These artworks were proudly entered into the Natimuk Festival, where several students received art awards in recognition of their creativity and skill. The standout piece of the exhibition received the prestigious "Principal’s Pick" Award for best overall artwork.

Come and enjoy this powerful and playful celebration of Cubism through the eyes of our budding young artists! Exhibition is in the S Wing above the Kitchenette.
