Middle Sub School News

Amelia Frantz  -  Middle Sub School Leader

Dear families and carers,

In Week 3, middle sub school students enjoyed going to swimming lessons at Broadmeadows Aquatic Centre. It was great to see students participating in the programs and learning skills including safe entries, using kickboards, noodles and life jackets.

Week 4 has seen classes visit Melbourne Zoo, Broadmeadows Library and All Abilities Play Space.

Other highlights of Weeks 3 & 4 have included the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program, literacy and maths. It has been great to see students making ANZAC biscuits, attending to the garden and working on their literacy and maths learning goals.

Just a reminder that SSGs continue next week and into week 5 (19-26 May).  Please book an SSG with your child's teacher if you haven't already. Additionally, students have received a permission note for our Week 7 music incursion. Please return this as soon as possible.

Thank you to all involved in the ongoing support of the students, especially during swimming week. Well done middle students for your efforts during swimming week.

Please feel free to reach out to me anytime,

Amelia

ROOM 16

This term, Room 16 have been working really hard within the classroom. We have been learning about measurement and how to measure objects around the school using a ruler and tape measures. We have been reading Koala Lou as a class and diving deep into the possibilities of the story. Students found themselves asking what it might be like to compete in the bush Olympics. Students also kept busy in Week 3 completing a whole week of swimming! Well Done Room 16, we are so proud of you!
