Mazenod College ‘Discover Tomorrow’ Career Expo 2025

Friday 9th May 2025, 12:50pm – 3:00pm

The Mazenod College major Careers and Pathways event is returning in May. This year the ‘Discover Tomorrow’ Expo promises to be bigger and better than last year due to the unprecedented high levels of interest from the Mazenod community and our sponsor institutions.

Our first expo in 2024, was a great success and as a result, we have received many expressions from the wider college community asking to participate this year. There will be an increased number of contributors, and the event will take place in our premium venue, the Provence Centre.

This major event that will give senior students in years 10, 11 & 12 a unique opportunity to meet with members of the wider community, who can give meaningful insights into the complex world of Careers, Employment and Study. The ‘Discover Tomorrow’ expo is a fantastic opportunity for our senior students to find all the information they need to kick start their career journey all under the one roof, here at Mazenod College!

The Mazenod Careers Expo 2025 will bring together past students who are currently working or studying, past and current parents and friends of the College, who have generously volunteered to represent business and share their own career journey experience. Importantly, there will also be representatives from Tertiary Education providers from the University and TAFE sectors. For our Year 10, 11 and 12 students:

When attending the ‘Discover Tomorrow’ expo we would like our students to get the most out of their time in order to collect all the relevant information they need to make a confident decision for their career journey after Mazenod College. All students will be issued with a ‘Careers Passport’ that includes some key questions to ask or some key information to seek out. Students will be able to use this information to select subjects for VCE or put together a proposed list of VTAC course preferences for university, TAFE or Private Provider courses. Of course, more subject selection information will be available to our year 10 and 11 students in term 3 later this year and at the same time, intensive VTAC/Career counselling will take place with all of our year 12 students.

The Careers & Pathways team is very excited to be hosting this major initiative for our senior students. Successful career development is the process of identifying your career goals and creating a plan to achieve them. The ‘Discover Tomorrow' expo is an integral part of the career development of all Mazenod College students! We thank the many key educational institutions for making the time and effort to exclusively attend Mazenod College. We also thank the many employers, parents, friends and past students of the college, including the Mazenod College Old Collegians Association (MOCA) for generously giving up their time to come and share their journeys with our students.
