Mother's Day
It was so wonderful to see everyone celebrating their Mother's and the other special women in their lives last week. There were lots of cards and artwork made! Our Mother's Day stall on Thursday was a great success with everyone walking away with lots of exciting gifts for their loved ones.
A very big thank you to Jennifer (Steven's mum from Tenison-Woods) who did all the ordering of the gifts. This is a massive job and Jennifer has been managing it for the last few years.
Also thank you to the parents who were able to assist during the lead up - counting money, processing orders, setting up stock etc and on the day - serving students, managing stock and counting and putting it all away at the end of the day.
Thank you to
Dianna J, Cristina P, Gabi I, Claudia P, Ana R, Amanda N, Tania M, Nicki S, Josie D, Andrea I, Elli R, Bianca K, Lucia A, Sarah M, Prakash P, Nicki O, Tanya M, Rima E, Jenny M, Danielle G, Martina O, Belinda M, Mel F, Nicole V, Rita A, Lauren M, Christine K and Mary G.
A school of our size cannot have successful events without the support of our school community. We are grateful to those who were able to help this time and welcome anyone else who is able to assist at future events.
Our Mother's Day Morning celebration on Friday was an exciting, colourful and joyous occasion. It was fantastic to see how many special visitors were able to make it. The line in Penola certainly proved that 'Cookies are Life!' Congratulations to all those who cracked the mystery code - 'If mums were roses I'd pick you.' Eight lucky students walked away with a little prize to share with their mum on Mother's Day.
We had some sad preppies when the music rang at 9.45am - a testament to just how much they enjoy sharing this space with their special visitors.
Shop for Your School
We are well underway! If you have receipts that you are not able to upload, please bring them in to school and we can get them uploaded for you! There will be a box at reception.
Two lucky students from each homegroup won a lucky raffle of a Shop For Your School drink bottle. Hopefully this will remind them, and their families to send in their receipts!
