Two Crews Selected for Henley Royal Regatta 2025

Following the outstanding success of our rowing program this year, Kinross Wolaroi is proud to announce that for the first time, both a male and female crew have qualified for the Henley Royal Regatta in 2025. The qualification process was conducted through the Australian Henley Stewards, who strongly supported our School's participation. Our application was then forwarded to the UK Henley Stewardship Committee, who have approved both the Schoolgirl Eight and Schoolboy Quad to compete without the need to qualify—recognising both crews as being of the excellent standard required for this prestigious event.

The Henley Royal Regatta, established in 1839, is one of the world’s most prestigious rowing events. Held annually on the River Thames in Henley-on-Thames, England, it began as a public attraction with a competitive element and soon evolved into a premier international rowing competition. Renowned for its tradition, strict dress code, and elite competition, the regatta celebrates sporting excellence and British social heritage, drawing spectators and outstanding rowing crews from around the world.

Congratulations to the following students who will represent Kinross Wolaroi on the international stage this July:

Fawley Challenge Cup – Oliver Smith, Nick Tancred, Toby Buckland, Harry Dymock

Prince Phillip Challenge Trophy – Tessa Wong, Xanthe Staniforth, Olivia Searle, Lucy Reidy, Rahni Jarick, Emily Wise, Laura Chudleigh, Bell Clinton, coxed by Philippa Martin

Kinross Wolaroi School views such cultural, sporting and academic tours, and international student exchanges as excellent opportunities that further enrich the holistic development of our students. These experiences are considered valuable extensions to our broad educational offering. Participation in such tours and exchanges is entirely optional and is undertaken at the full expense of the students and families involved. The school does not provide financial support for these opportunities.

We wish our crews every success as they embark on such an exciting challenge.
