April School Holidays Report: An Enjoyable TryTime Holiday Clinic
Over the April school holidays, the TryTime Holiday Camp proved to be successful, with more than 50 students participating over two action-packed days. The camp provided a fantastic opportunity for players to sharpen their skills, build teamwork, and enjoy the game they love.
On the final day, excitement was high as two trial matches were played against Redfield College. Both games were a great success, with students gaining valuable match practice and showcasing the hard work they had put in. It was clear that everyone had a lot of fun while also preparing strongly for the upcoming ISA season.
Adding to the highlight of the camp, the 1st XV had the opportunity to play a trial match against The Scots College. In a thrilling contest, the teams drew four tries apiece, with both sides showing great spirit and determination. It was an excellent test and a strong indication of the exciting season ahead.
A big thank you to all the students, coaches, and supporters who made the camp such a positive and memorable experience. We look forward to an exciting season ahead!

Open to students in Years 5–12, as well as interested parents and staff, this event is the first step in establishing a biannual surf tradition at the College. For those students eager to take their surfing further, we also plan to form a competitive surf team to participate in future inter-school competitions.

Event Details:
Register & Pay via Clipboard
Cost: $100 per participant (students and/or parents)
Registration closes: Friday 9 May at 3:00 pm
For our more competitive surfers - this event isn’t just social! Students who wish to compete will need to purchase their 'Flowstate' video footage directly from the URBNSURF website ($25) and submit their two best waves to Mr Burton. This will serve as their official entry for judging in their age division.

Students requiring transport can opt in via Clipboard – additional costs may apply based on final numbers.
Whether you're new to surfing or a seasoned shredder, this is a fantastic opportunity to strengthen community ties, support student wellbeing, and ride the St Pius X spirit all the way to shore.
